A hot-shot young filmmaker working in the promo department at VH1, Micah Perta cut his teeth writing and directing a Student Academy Award-nominated documentary short about New York gypsy-punk band, Gogol Bordello, and working on a number of projects for Brooklyn-based production house Optic Nerve, including a documentary about Fischerspooner and a music video for LCD Soundsystem. In addition to new spots and campaigns for VH1 and MTV Networks, Perta has a number of personal projects in the works, including several documentary shorts and a music video for his own band, Micah and Eddie.
