Making Time is the brainchild of Philadelphia natives Dave P, Dave Pak and Mike Z. A freeform monthly party in the vein of seminal taste-making doâ??s like NYCâ??s Motherfucker and Londonâ??s Trash, itâ??s a loud, fast, crazy free-for-all, mixing up indie rock, punk, disco, electro and techno into a postmodern pastiche of cool and attitude. Bringing buzz-worthy bands like The Rapture, Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand and Tom Vek to Philadelphia to play to packed houses months before the music press catches wind of them, Making Time also manages to program some of dance musicâ??s most visionary DJs, including Tim Sweeney (DFA/Beatsinspace.net) and Glasgowâ??s Optimo DJ team.
