Blogging Can Be Boring

No, not this blog. Never!

But as more and more folks rush into the world of blogging, EMERGE is finding that many have very little to add to the discourse.

Take for instance John Mayer's blog on Japanese streetstyle institution Honeyee. Now it's fascinating that the adult-contemporary rocker has a blog alongside folks like Stussy creative director Paul Mittleman, SF skater-turned-sneakerhead Keith Hufnagel and iconic Japanese designers like Hiroshi Fujiwara, but his posts are almost always confined to cataloging the incredible array of limited edition, high price gadgets and gizmos he's either purchased or been given for free.

Sure, that digital Leica is dope John. So is that vintage Panerai watch. But isn't there something more compelling to talk about?

In this time of massive gift-giving neuroses, EMERGE for one doesn't want to be bored with the shopping proclivities of the ultra rich, even if they happen to have good taste.
