Radiohead Blows Minds

The weirdest band to become ultra-mega-super-stars in recent memory (sorry Bjork), Radiohead has kicked off a North American tour which is leading up to the release of their seventh album entitled and boy are the diehard fans in a frenzy.

Despite competing shows by the likes of UK darlings Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead seems like the only ticket in town here in New York, with industry insiders competing with obsessed fans to score tickets released at the last second (all the initial tickets made available sold out in mere minutes).

The word on the street is that Thom, Jonny and crew still have their mojos and that the new songs they are debuting for North American crowds are fantastic. Thanks to the ardent affection of so many bloggers and internet geeks, fans who weren't lucky enough to score tickets can already find live bootlegs of new songs from last night's show at Madison Square Garden online (check here and here), and a full setlist is viewable here.

For fans who just can't get enough of Radiohead, singer Thom Yorke is also gearing up to release a solo album, entitled The Eraser, which was produced by famed studio whiz Nigel Godrich. It drops later on this summer, though it has been leaked onto file sharing networks for nearly a month already...
