SPREAD ArtCulture Magazine

The fine folks behind Black Book Magazine have teamed up with Bernstein Andriulli, an agency for photographers, illustrators, stylists, hair and makeup maestros and new media artists and programmers to create SPREAD, "a new progressive art, culture and fashion publication aimed towards those working in the creative industries." Since all the content is contributed by BA's roster of represented artsts, SPREAD functions as a catalog of sorts for the agency, though it is to be made available on newstands as well, a sort of private label advertorial aimed towards creatives that may not be receptive to direct solicitation from BA's agents. It's an interesting collaboration between a venerable lifestyle magazine and one of the foremost agency's of it's kind. It's too soon to tell whether SPREAD succeeds in spreading the word on these talents or if it turns out to be a cheap ploy that rings hollow with the always discriminating creatives it seeks to reach.

For the curious, Black Book and Bernstein Andriulli are hosting a launch event for SPREAD at the Meatpacking District staple, Lotus Tuesday June 6. RSVP to rsvp@blackbookmag.com.
