Most people never thought to subscribe to a piece of clothing but as it turns out, T shirt clubs have been a quiet phenomenon for a few years now. The Australian band the Avalanches have their t shirt club which showcases designs from guest "editors" on a regular basis. Operating under the same notion of recreating the bygone 7" record club but with t shrits, UK designers Airside had a superb subscription-only service for a few years.
Now there is another subscription out there that takes this idea and brings it more in line with the traditional object of subscriptions: the newspaper. Basing each design on a news story that catches their eye, T-post issues a new shirt every six weeks under the tagline "48% news, 52% cotton."
Running since 2004, T-post designs run the gamut from the playful (celebrate Pi Appreciation Day) to the more serious (one shirt explores the Stockholm, Sweden police plan to equip officers with guns that shoot electrified bullets). Regardless of the subject matter, the designs are clean, simple and attractive and T-post's website is transparent and easy to use. So what are you waiting for?
