With a focus on creative talent from the Nordic Region, Portable Art Gallery is taking the rarified world of the gallery and making it available for download to your Sony's blockbuster video game/media device.

Organized into 4 separate exhibitions of film, visual art, and music, pieces are available to download in limited quantity alongside interviews with the artists and other information. There's even an Open Zone where visitors can submit work of their own, several pieces of which make up Portable Gallery's 4th exhibition. The Open Zone also features really cool ways to make collaborative art and music online. Go explore!

While many of the names here will be unfamiliar to those outside of the Nordic design and art communities, the talent on display is really excellent and the interface is fun to use, and it's sites like this that will ultimately breath new life into media devices like the PSP, which seem to be used mostly for gaming or watching movie trailers...
