Riddim Method on Lemon-Red

Boston-based home of music-nerd bloggery, Lemon-Red, long a resource for all manner of beat-wise info and host to a superb downloadable mix series (which has featured EMERGE DJ faves The Rub) has just posted a blindingly eclectic mix by the musical collective known as Riddim Method.

Based in Boston and Oakland, this 6 person collective have not only pioneered their own unique style of music known as Boston Bounce but have helped keep New England's experimental underground thriving despite the region's longstanding love of all things tie-dyed and jamband related via their work with Toneburst Collective and their weekly Beat Research events at Cambridge's Enormous Room.

Now those of us who've never had the privilige of catching the Methodists in the flesh can peep their technique, "connecting the dots between dubstep, hip-hop, dancehall, bass, merengue, soca, bmore, rai, dub, electro, doo-wop, ragga house, and boston bounce."

It's a heady trip, but well worth a LISTEN
